Eight Precious Weeks: Forever Homes Update!

If you followed our Eight Precious Weeks campaign a few months ago, you’ll remember our lovely kittens – we followed their story week by week, watching them develop, socialise and explore their surroundings, all the while under the watchful protection of their mum, Precious. After these crucial first eight weeks of life, they were then ready to be adopted, and they went off to start their new lives in their forever homes. This week, we’re delighted to share some updates about how each of the kittens has been getting on – along with Precious, in her new home!

As you’ll see when you read on, they are all absolutely thriving.

Onyx

Onyx (now Ralph) settled into his new home really well - after being home only an hour, he was strutting around, tail high and ready for playtime! He loves playing with his wiggly snake toy and having a wander around the garden.

His owner says, “his new brother Micheal was very interested when Ralph first arrived, and has been teaching him valuable lessons on how to "cat" - they like a good play session but on occasion can be found cuddled up, too!”

Topaz & Sapphire

Topaz (now Jasper) and Sapphire (now Barney) really made themselves at home! They both have fabulous temperaments and are very affectionate (not just at meal times!) and are providing their new owners with lots of entertainment as they frolic together.

Their owners say, “we are so grateful for having these boys in our lives and really look forward to watching them grow up.”

Ruby

Ruby is doing really well! She follows her new owner everywhere, is very loving and she loves to play.

Her owner says, “she sleeps next to me on the bed all night, and I feel so blessed that I have her.”

Precious (now Sylvie)

Precious (now Sylvie) settled in really quickly. She found her confidence and is really affectionate towards her new family. After the difficult time that she had giving birth to her kittens she seems to be loving the chance to be spoilt herself! She is also really playful and loves playing with her toy mousey and fishing rod.

Her owners say, “We are absolutely loving having her here and are so grateful to have been able to give her a forever home. Thank you so much to all the lovely people at Cats Protection for looking after Precious during her pregnancy and for the great work that you do every day for cats in need!”

We are so happy that Precious and all her kittens have found the happy homes that they deserve! It’s thanks to all our supporters that we can ensure our important work continues and that cats everywhere get the care they need. We’re passionate about finding loving, lasting homes for the cats in our care. During the process of adopting a cat from Bridgend Adoption Centre, we’ll consider everything from your potential pet’s personality and how this fits with your lifestyle, to your home environment – creating the perfect match for both cat and owner and the start of a wonderful feline friendship.
